    The same is true when designing curriculum. For the past 25+ years, Janet has had the pleasure of working with schools, districts, and higher education programs to help educators make their dream of creating meaningful and purposeful curriculum become a reality. 

     

    According to the Glossary of Educational Reform:

    When the terms curriculum or curricula are used in educational contexts without qualification, specific examples, or additional explanation, it may be difficult to determine precisely what the terms are referring to – mainly because they could be applied to either all or only some of the component parts of a school’s academic program or courses.

    The three most common components involved in designing curriculum are frameworks (or models), assessments, and instruction. 

    By incorporating one or more frameworks, assessment focuses, and instructional practices—based on a learning organization’s mission, vision, and curriculum-design goals—Janet works alongside educators to support them in designing curriculum that provides their students (and teachers) with meaningful experiences that lead to college and career readiness and personal fulfillment.
